Ukraine’s reconstruction: Poland is ready to organize a summit next year, Ukraine will spend €100M this year, and Britain to provide $47M.
Poland is ready to organize a Ukrainian reconstruction summit in 2026, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.
Meanwhile, the third stage of the Ukraine Recovery Program has begun. The Ukrainian government has allocated €100M, which will be directed to recovery and development projects. The priority is distributed generation facilities, municipal housing, water supply and sanitation, and healthcare.
In June 2024, Ukraine and the EIB signed a €100M agreement, which should be used to restore social infrastructure, housing, and communal facilities and provide municipal housing in the regions that have suffered housing destruction and in the regions that have received many internally displaced persons. The program’s previous two phases saw the implementation of 225 projects worth over €500M.
Also, Britain has announced a new program to revive Ukraine’s economy, providing £40M ($47M) to mobilize hundreds of millions of private capital to support small and medium-sized businesses, stimulating economic growth and resilience in Ukraine.
