Ukraine’s monthly war expenses are one-third of Russia’s.

Ukraine spends $3.8B a month on the war, less than a third of what the Russian Federation spends. At the same time, there is no actual data on Russia’s spending because Russia is hiding the true number, says Mykhailo Gonchar, head of the Center for Global Studies.

According to an adjusted estimate, this year Russia’s war spending will reach $145B annually, an average of $12.1B per month. Ukraine’s annual military expenses are estimated at almost $46B. “This is a dangerous imbalance. It does not decrease even by half, considering Western aid,” Gonchar emphasized.

The expert added that the Western media’s figures of approximately $43.1B in US military aid do not consider that the actual amount of weapons and military equipment provided is $17.54B, and most of it, or $20.58B, is in deferred aid that does not materialize in the form of supplies.
