Ukraine’s counteroffensive is going according to plan, and the military is showing due caution.
Britain’s Ministry of Defense has dismissed concerns about the slow pace of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, saying operations are proceeding according to plan, stated the UK Minister of Defense, James Heappey, in an interview with The Telegraph.
According to him, Ukraine’s counteroffensive is following the plan developed jointly with Great Britain and the US during the winter. The minister noted that Kyiv is showing “due caution” by refusing to send large numbers of people and Western weapons through dense Russian minefields. He added that the Ukrainian military maintains sufficient firepower to make a breakthrough at the right moment.
Also, Heappey said, “Ukrainians generally follow the plan they developed with us, the Americans, and others over the past winter. This is not a Hollywood movie.”
