Ukraine’s allies provide billions of euros to support Ukraine’s energy industry and reconstruction.
The UK allocated more than €173.9M to strengthen Ukraine’s energy sector.
In addition, this year Kyiv will receive €560M from the EIB for energy, transport infrastructure, and housing reconstruction projects.
In addition, Germany has sent more than 100 humanitarian aid shipments for Ukrainian energy workers during the two years of the war. The country is also the largest donor to the Energy Support Fund, with contributions amounting to €225M. Recently, Ukrenergo received €800,000 worth of recovery equipment from German partners, increasing the total amount of support in these categories to more than €3B.
Norway launched a new grant program for Ukrainian public organizations, allocating almost €6M.
“This is important so that Ukraine can succeed in the war with Russia, in reconstruction, in the implementation of important reforms, and in the fight against corruption,” the country’s Foreign Ministry said.
Switzerland will also provide Ukraine with more than €5B for its recovery over 12 years. The funds will be directed to infrastructure and social projects.
