Ukraine’s allies are strengthening their civil and military support: Ukraine will receive $375M from the US and $550M in Abrams tanks from Australia.
The US is preparing a military aid package for Ukraine worth $375M, which may be announced early this week. The package will include HIMARS ammunition and artillery shells. Ukraine may also receive AGM-154 cruise bombs capable of hitting targets at up to 110 kilometers.
Also, the Armed Forces may soon obtain 59 decommissioned M1A1 Abrams tanks from Australia valued at $550M. This issue is being discussed with the Biden administration as it involves American-made tanks.
At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received the first €40.7M from Denmark’s aid package, which is being directed to the production of Ukrainian weapons.
The Norwegian government plans to provide another NRK5B (€430M) in aid to Ukraine this year and provide at least NRK15B (€1.3B) a year until 2030. In total, the government proposes increasing the scope of the Nansen program (Norwegian military and civilian aid) to NRK 135B (€11.5B) from the previously announced NRK 75B.
