Ukraine will receive about $5B to produce drones; the opening of defense product exports is under consideration.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that by the end of the year Ukraine will receive another $4-5B for domestic drone production. Zelenskyy specified that the state spent about ₴120B ($3B) on domestic drone production this year and the Nordic countries provided €750M (₴30B). In total, Ukraine has allocated ₴150B to its domestic production and has agreements with partners to receive about $4-5B (₴150-200B) by the end of the year.
Zelenskyy added that he discussed exporting defense products with Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.
“I asked him to think about what types of weapons we can export. After all, exporting products is dangerous because they can get to Russia. In addition, it is possible to export only to the Ramstein allied countries, which have helped Ukraine with weapons,” the president clarified that relevant ministries are developing options for long-term export contracts for three to five years.
