Ukraine will receive a new $2.1B military aid package from the US.

According to the Pentagon, this package contains critical air defense equipment and ammunition and is provided as part of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI). It includes additional ammunition for the Patriot air defense system, additional air defense systems and HAWK missiles, 105-mm and 203-mm artillery shells, Puma UAV, ammunition for laser-guided missile systems, and training and maintenance support.

“The United States will continue to work with its allies and partners to provide Ukraine with opportunities to meet its immediate needs on the battlefield and long-term needs for security assistance”, the Pentagon emphasized. The US Ministry of Defense also announced that the next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Rammstein format will be held on June 15 in Brussels.
