Ukraine will produce 155-mm projectiles jointly with two American companies, and the US will transfer all Vampire complexes and APKWS systems.
Ukraine has agreed with two leading American companies on the joint production of 155 mm ammunition, said Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshin. According to him, developing production facilities for the ammunition will take two to three years, and construction in Ukraine should start soon.
As well, the US Navy announced that by the end of December they will complete the delivery to Ukraine of a new anti-drone system known as the Vehicle-Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment (Vampire). The Ukrainian military will receive 14 complexes. The Vampire can also be used as a small mobile air defense system for infantry protection.
In the coming weeks, the Americans also plan to supply Ukraine with laser guidance systems for Hydra 70 unguided missiles (APKWS) with warheads that are equipped with a non-contact detonator.
