Ukraine will not give up its territories regardless of the outcome of the US election; the US wants China to restrain the cooperation between the DPRK and Russia.

Ukraine will not give up its territories regardless of the outcome of the US election and the next president’s policy regarding Ukraine, President Zelenskyy told South Korean TV channel KBS. The Ukrainian president added that if support weakens, it will allow Russia to expand its occupation, and Ukraine will lose its chance to win. Zelenskyy emphasized that it is not about compromises regarding the temporarily occupied territories but about different diplomatic approaches that are dependent on US policy.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump wants to end the war quickly, but if this model involves forcing Ukraine to make concessions, it will be unacceptable for the Ukrainian side. Zelenskyy added that relinquishing the territories contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine, so such a compromise is legally impossible.

Meanwhile, Washington appealed to Beijing to help curb the North Korean military involvement in Russia’s war against Ukraine. But so far, the US has not established the Chinese leader’s position on the issue.
