Ukraine will develop investment and business partnerships with Sweden and Switzerland.
The Ukrainian contingent emphasizes that a war risk insurance infrastructure has been created to allow foreign investors to enter the Ukrainian market, and work is ongoing on additional investment attraction instruments. In this context, Ukraine hopes to expand coverage to the Swedish Export Credit Agency (ECA).
“Currently, 14 national ECAs insure their companies against war risks, and we hope that Sweden will also join in insuring investors who are ready to invest in Ukraine right now,” noted Deputy Minister of Economy Volodymyr Kuzyo.
The Minister of Trade of Sweden assured Ukrainians of Swedish companies’ steady interest in Ukrainian investment. He also notes that his country’s government is finalizing preparations to realize this goal.
At the World Economic Forum, Ukraine and Switzerland agreed to conduct joint business missions to study opportunities for Swiss companies to invest in Ukraine and for Ukrainian companies to expand in Switzerland.
