Ukraine seeks to force Russia to accept the UN charter, and Putin has declared readiness for negotiations based on the Istanbul agreement.

Ukraine’s victory plan envisages the intention to force Russia to adopt the UN charter, and Kyiv plans to prepare a more detailed strategy together with its partners for the Peace Summit, which is why representatives of the Russian Federation must be present there, President Zelenskyy said.

“We want an end to the war. And the victory plan aims to force Russia to end the war. To force them to accept the UN Charter, to accept the rules of the world,” the president emphasized.

In turn, Putin, during a speech at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, said that Russia “never refused negotiations” regarding the war in Ukraine. At the same time, he immediately put forward several conditions – the Kremlin will accept the conditions agreed upon in Istanbul. At the same time, he added that the seizure of the Donbas remains Russia’s primary goal.

Meanwhile, the Chancellor of Austria said that the country is ready to become a place where peace talks between Ukraine and Russia could occur.
