Ukraine presents the US with its latest weapons request, including F-18 fighter jets, as well as Apache and Blackhawk helicopters.
At a closed meeting in Washington, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine presented the US with a list of necessary weapons, which includes F-18 fighters. The latest air defense systems, such as THAAD, Apache and Blackhawk helicopters, and drones, are also among the list of required equipment.
In addition, the list contains weapons that have been requested before. These include Abrams tanks and 155mm artillery, F-16 fighter jets, long-range ATACMS missiles, and drones.
Also, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his speech at the Ukrainian-American defense industry conference, invited American defense companies to cooperate with Ukraine. He clarified that Ukraine is interested in the joint production of an entire range of weapons: guns, armored vehicles, and drones, as well as cooperation in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
“We can do much more together than any of us alone. Our team in Washington will present specific perspectives and opportunities,” the head of state said.
