Ukraine presents defense industry projects for financing within the framework of the €150B EU initiative.

These are initiatives to produce drones, ammunition, and missiles, which can be financed within the framework of the SAFE (Security Action for Europe) loan program that has a €150B budget. Ukrainian projects are designed to provide the war-torn country with the necessary weapons on the battlefield and increase European defense capabilities. The goal is also to provide the Ukrainian defense industry with long-term contracts through 2030.

“We are ready for mutually beneficial cooperation on the path to integrating the Ukrainian defense industry into the European ecosystem,” the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine noted.

Ukraine’s partners are interested in developing joint initiatives in the field of UAVs and missile weapons. SAFE is a new EU financial instrument that will support states wishing to invest in the defense industry through joint procurement, focusing on priority capabilities.
