Ukraine might consider an agreement with Russia to end strikes on energy facilities.
Ukraine is ready to consider the possibility of a making a deal with Russia on the mutual cessation of strikes on energy infrastructure, but only with the mediation of Qatar or another country, said the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak.
Ukraine held thematic conferences detailing the points of the Peace Formula, the first of which was devoted to energy security. Qatar was one of the co-organizers of the conference. According to the head of the president’s office, if Qatar or another state is ready to implement ceasefire agreements for energy facilities through separate negotiations with Ukraine and the Russian Federation, Kyiv can work them out. The same applies to food security.
“If there are such agreements, Ukraine is ready to consider them because it corresponds to the principles laid down in the Peace Formula of Ukraine,” Yermak added.
For example, the grain corridor deal was implemented when there were two agreements: between Turkey, the UN, and Ukraine, as well as between Turkey, the UN, and Russia.
