Ukraine may receive rockets for the HAWK air defense system from the US and eight Patriot systems from Israel.

As part of a new $150M aid package, the Biden administration will provide Ukraine with, among other things, HAWK anti-aircraft interceptor missiles, said US officials.

In addition, the US, Israel and Ukraine are negotiating to potentially supply Kyiv with eight Patriot air defense systems. In April, Israel said it would begin decommissioning eight Patriot batteries that are more than 30 years old. Previously, the country rejected Ukraine’s requests for these systems. The agreement may shift Israel’s relations with the Russian Federation. The deal will likely send Patriot systems first to the US and then to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Denmark, which undertook the training of about 100 Ukrainian specialists to maintain F-16 fighters, has trained 50 of them. The country will also train about 20 pilots by the end of the year. It is assumed that the first 19 Danish F-16 aircraft will arrive in Ukraine this summer.

Also, Finland announced the transfer to Ukraine of its 24th package of military aid, worth €159M.
