Ukraine is strengthening its trade ties with Europe with visa-free transport with Norway and an agreement with Britain on abolishing customs duties until 2029.
Ukraine and Norway have extended until June 30, 2025, their agreement on bilateral and freight transit without additional permits. Transport visa-free with Norway will be valid for trucks of Euro-5 standard and above. Currently, Ukrainian carriers are eligible for visa-free transport with 37 countries. It should be noted that in June, Ukraine and the EU agreed to extend the Agreement on the Liberalization of Freight Transportation for another year – until June 2025, including automatic extension until the end of 2025. In turn, the Ukrainian Parliament supported a free trade agreement and strategic partnership with the UK. The agreement consolidates the decision of Britain, adopted in February this year, to abolish import duties and tariff quotas in trade with Ukraine until 2029. The exception was Ukrainian poultry meat and eggs, for which the abolition of customs duties will apply until 2026.
