Ukraine is still committed to a mutual agreement to cease attacks on energy infrastructure despite Moscow’s massive air attack immediately after talks with Washington.

“We are ready for such a step if it is carried out by both sides. That is, when we agree on this with mediation from the American side and on the condition that the US is the guarantor of this agreement’s implementation,” said President Zelenskyy.

The president also stated that in the event that Russia violates the agreement by shelling energy facilities, Ukraine will respond accordingly.

As soon as the conversation between the American president and the Russian dictator ended, dozens of Russian drones attacked Ukraine’s capital and other cities for several hours. Russia used two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 145 strike drones against Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump characterized his telephone conversation with Putin as “very good and productive.” Trump continued by saying, “We have agreed to an immediate ceasefire on all energy and infrastructure sites, with the understanding that we will work quickly to achieve a complete ceasefire and ultimately end this terrible war.”
