Ukraine is ready to start restoring air connections with other countries.
However, this effort is still at the stage of risk assessment and submission of relevant requests to permitting organizations, said Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.
“We are conducting consultations with American and European security regulators on reopening aviation space. It is a complicated process, but Ukraine is already taking the first formal steps,” he said.
In the coming days, the Ukrainian government will submit relevant appeals and statements regarding the beginning of an assessment of the current situation, probable risks, and the possibility of starting negotiations with regulators.
It is noted that there are currently no final or intermediate deadlines for the resumption of air traffic. However, there is important communication from foreign and, in particular, European partners that there is an understanding of how to restore air traffic with Ukraine.
