Ukraine is ready to hold the second Peace Summit in India.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced that negotiations with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, and Switzerland regarding the second Peace Summit are ongoing. He also said he was open to holding the second Peace Summit in India after meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kyiv wants one of the countries of the Global South to host the second Peace Summit. “But we cannot hold the Peace Summit in a country that has not yet joined the summit’s communiqué,” Zelenskyy said. It should be noted that India was among the list of countries that did not sign the communiqué following the Peace Summit in Switzerland due to Russia’s absence in the West: New Delhi emphasizes that only options acceptable to both sides can lead to lasting peace in Ukraine. During a meeting with Zelenskyy in Kyiv, Modi said that his country is not a neutral or indifferent observer and has always stood on the side of peace. Delhi advocates achieving peace in Ukraine through dialogue and diplomatic means with respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
