Ukraine is ready for negotiations, but not for capitulation; Ukraine comments on the proposals from Trump and Putin.

During a delegation meeting in London on April 23, Ukraine reaffirmed its principled stance that it is willing to negotiate.
However, as Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko stated: “There will be no agreement that provides Russia with stronger foundations for regrouping and returning with increased violence. A complete ceasefire – on land, in the air, and at sea – is a necessary first step.”
She added that Ukrainians will not accept a frozen conflict masked as peace.
“We will never recognize the occupation of Crimea. If NATO membership is not granted, Ukraine will require binding security guarantees – strong enough to deter future aggression and clear enough to ensure lasting peace,” the minister emphasized.
President Zelenskyy, in turn, remarked that Ukraine has repeatedly stated that it has not ruled out any format that could lead to a ceasefire and ultimately to real peace.
“Stopping the killing is the number one priority,” he pointed out.
The Head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, summarized the negotiations among representatives from the UK, Ukraine, the US, France, and Germany in a reduced format by saying that the parties agreed to continue regular consultations in order to achieve a just peace for Ukraine.
