Ukraine is preparing the Chornomorsk Seaport for reconstruction.
The government plans to start the reconstruction of the seventh, eighth, and ninth berths of the Chornomorsk seaport by 2025, said head of the Chornomorsk Seaport Administration Ruslan Sakhautdinov.
“A technical and economic feasibility study has already been developed, and the approval procedure is underway. These will be completely different technical and technological capabilities,” Sakhautdinov noted.
In addition, the expansion of the number of truck lanes around the port will begin in June.
Ukraine’s seaports transship 62 million tons of cargo per year. By nomenclature, bulk products have become one of the leading exports with an indicator of 6.3 million tons along with 45.5 million tons of grain products.
Lately, more companies are investing in Black Sea ports and their infrastructure. For example, Kernel purchased the Illichiv oil and fat processing plant for ₴696.7M in Chornomorsk and expanded its Black Sea fleet by purchasing three vessels.
