Ukraine is investing UAH 140B in thermal modernization.

According to First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko, “The state plans to invest UAH 140B ($5B). These funds will be used for targeted loans at 3% per annum to local governments and military-civilian administrations.” She noted that the loans would be provided by the State Institution “Ukrainian Financial Housing Company.” The first wave of thermal modernization in 2022 will cover 6,437 houses that have submitted applications from local authorities. Among the activities planned under the program are installing individual heating stations, building insulation, and installing meters.
