Ukraine is increasing long-range drone production to 500 units per month, and the state is increasing funding by ₴15.5B.
Ukraine is increasing its production of long-range drones, which should help the Armed Forces bypass restrictions on the use of weapons obtained from Western countries for strikes on Russian territory. It is anticipated that, by the middle of this year, the country will be able to produce about 500 drones every month.
It is noted that Ukraine initially used Chinese drones, which are freely available on international websites, for the most part. However, Ukraine has gradually established the production of its own drones using Chinese components.
Meanwhile, to support and increase drone production, the Ukrainian government allocated another ₴15.5B to purchase drones. These funds will be sufficient to furnish the Armed Forces of Ukraine with 300,000 drones. These funds are in addition to the ₴43.3B the state already allocated for drones this year.
