Ukraine is increasing its exports of dairy products and launching a modern dairy farm in the Rivne region.

Exports of Ukrainian cheeses in January-October 2024 amounted to 10,100 tons, which is 40.3% more than in the same period last year. Revenue amounted to $43.7M, 34% more than last year. The largest buyers of Ukrainian cheeses were Moldova (33.1%), Kazakhstan (30.2%), and Germany (9.3%).

At the same time, imports of cheeses to Ukraine during the specified period increased by 6.6% to 28,900 tons ($171.1M). Cheeses were imported to Ukraine from Poland (39.6%), Germany (20.1%), and the Netherlands (9%).

In parallel, the Moloko Vitchyzny company is expanding its production capacity and is building a substantial dairy farm in the Rivne region, where 3,000 cows will be kept. The new farm will support production of 39,000 tons of milk annually. The new facility will make a significant contribution to the region’s development, providing 85 jobs and additional revenue to local budgets. According to the company, the farm will open in 2025.
