Ukraine is expanding the corridors of solidarity with Slovakia and is preparing to increase the export of agricultural products through Moldova and Romania.

The new transport corridor, which will pass through these countries, will allow the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to double, said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“We are in active dialogue with Romania, Slovakia, and Moldova. I am convinced that many agreements will be signed and implemented very quickly that will allow Ukraine to increase its export logistics capacity with Romania and Moldova,” Shmyhal said.

In addition, the head of the government negotiated with his Slovak counterpart, Ludovit Odor, on the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through the country and announced progress on the expansion of the solidarity corridors.

Shmyhal said that Ukraine has introduced a verification and approval mechanism for four groups of its agricultural exports, which is currently being used with Romania and Bulgaria, and expects that Slovakia will also join the initiative and lift restrictions on Ukrainian products.
