Ukraine has regained positions and is controlling territory in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia.

The Ukrainian military has retaken positions and is holding territory in the Kursk and Belgorod regions, and the containment of a significant group of Russian troops at the border continues, said Oleksandr Syrskyy, the Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that in June the military carried out 115 fire missions deep inside enemy territory, hitting 2,864 enemy targets with artillery. It is noted that Russia increased the number of aerial attack vehicles used against Ukraine by 60% in one month. At the same time, Ukrainian forces struck around 4,000 targets. Russia is also actively developing drone use on the front, particularly through the Rubicon Center for Advanced Unmanned Technologies.
The ISW believes that if Russia trains enough UAV operators and integrates them effectively into combat units, this could pose a long-term threat not only to Ukraine but also to NATO countries.
In temporarily occupied Mariupol, the occupiers are constructing a large-scale facility near a new bypass road, likely a military base.
