Ukraine has received Crotale anti-aircraft systems from France.
French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu revealed details of the military aid given to Ukraine, noting that the Crotale air defense system is among the most recently provided systems. Speaking about the assistance already provided by France, Lecornu said that among the most recent systems transferred to Ukraine are two batteries of Crotale air defense systems and two salvo-firing rocket systems. Although the French aid is most associated with Caesar self-propelled artillery installations, 18 air defense systems have already been transferred. However, the list of weapons is much wider: it includes Milan and Mistral missiles, about 60 VAB armored personnel carriers, HDP-2A2 anti-tank mines, personal protection equipment against nuclear, biological, or chemical threats, and the latest night vision devices.
