Ukraine has managed to finance all key budget expenditures.
“We directed all taxes from citizens and businesses to ensure the defense and security of our country,” said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. He specified that for January-June, the general fund of the state budget received almost UAH 870B, of which UAH 600B were tax revenues and UAH 270B were grants from international partners. In total, various state budget funds received UAH 1.3T in taxes, fees, and other payments during the first six months of the year. Expenditures amounted to about UAH 1.8T.
The Prime Minister emphasized that half of all state budget funds are spent on priority sectors, namely security and defense. Also, in the first six months of the year UAH 231B was allocated to social payments such as pensions and subsidiaries. Medicine, education, and regional support also remain key areas of expenditure. The latter received UAH 92B in subventions, and these revenues increased by UAH 42.5B to UAH 218B compared to last year.
