Ukraine has lost about 13% of its housing stock due to the war; restoration efforts are underway.

Following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, approximately 13% of Ukraine’s housing stock was destroyed, as stated by Deputy Minister of Development Natalia Kozlovska.
Now, an expert working group under the Ministry of Development has approved several projects across various regions of the country for financing as part of the Ukraine Recovery Program III. Specifically, five projects aimed at restoring ₴245M in housing stock have been approved in three regions: Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Cherkasy.
As far as reconstructing medical institutions, the group supports 10 projects totaling over ₴750M in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, and Lviv regions. To date, over ₴750M has been allocated for the renovation and modernization of medical infrastructure.
Previous to these new approvals, the expert group had already approved more than 100 projects related to energy sustainability and the construction and repair of water supply and wastewater systems, totaling nearly ₴3B.
