Ukraine has introduced European standards for air transportation.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the European integration law, which introduces several European standards into Ukraine’s civil aviation procedures. The new standards will simplify state regulation and create prerequisites for the earliest possible resumption of Ukrainian air carrier and airfield activities, the Ministry of Infrastructure said.
Also, the new changes adapt Ukrainian legislation to the EU civil aviation norms, the provisions for regulation, and the Agreement on the Common Aviation Area.
Moreover, the new law simplifies the procedures for issuing an airworthiness certificate and permission to fly for aircraft certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). This eliminates the need to undergo re-certification in Ukraine and the need to obtain rights to operate airlines by Ukrainian air carriers for regular air transportation in Ukraine and abroad.
