Ukraine has introduced a new regulation of the export of grain, honey, and nuts to combat the shadow economy.

The Cabinet of Ministers introduced an export support regime for operations involved with exporting certain agricultural goods during martial law in Ukraine. This regime will establish minimum export prices. It concerns the export of wheat and meslin, rye, barley, oats, corn, sunflower seeds, rapeseed, soybeans, natural honey, and walnuts. Now, exports will take place in accordance with foreign economic activity legislation

. Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka noted that in less than eight months of this year, more than five million tons of agricultural products worth more than ₴50B were exported, with signs indicating the risk of non-return of foreign exchange.

“Therefore, to minimize schemes for violating the legislation of Ukraine during the export of certain types of goods, bringing a significant part of the economy out of the shadows and increasing revenues to the state budget, the government introduced the regime of export support for some categories of agricultural products,” he added.
