Ukraine has increased missile production and is preparing a financial basis for developing the domestic defense industry.
Internal investment in weapons production and involving partners will form a reliable financial basis for the further development of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex, President Zelenskyy said during the presentation of his internal stability plan in the Verkhovna Rada.
“Our weapons will always be our first guarantor of security. We are preparing a reliable financial basis for this. We are directing our own investment in producing weapons and attracting partners,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
Through the Danish model of financing weapons production in Ukraine, it has already been possible to attract more than $1B from partner countries and conclude cooperation agreements with more than 40 foreign defense companies.
According to the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov, domestic missile production has intensified in Ukraine: 100 missiles have been manufactured in a year. Serial production of improved R-360 Neptune cruise missiles was also successfully scaled.
