Ukraine has increased its drone production by 900% in six months and is preparing to mass-produce analogs of Russian Lancets.
Ukraine is actively increasing the production of drones, which find a wide range of applications – from replacing artillery shells, which are in short supply, to striking ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and military and industrial facilities in Russian territory.
Ukraine was producing about 5,000 drones per month in the summer of 2023, by the end of last year, production had reached 50,000 per month. Ukraine is successfully moving toward its goal of making at least one million drones this year (over 83,000 UAVs per month). If the plan is implemented, output will increase more than 100 times compared to 2022.
Currently, 62 types of unmanned aerial vehicles are produced in the country.
Also, in the coming weeks Ukraine will conclude contracts to produce FPV drones, like the Russian Lancet UAV with a range of 40 km.
