Ukraine has fulfilled 72% of its obligations under the Association Agreement with the EU,

said Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Olga Stefanishyna. According to her, the leader in fulfilling obligations has become the field of intellectual property with progress of  33% of its goal. Significant progress has also been achieved in the energy, environment, agriculture, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, and customs issues. In general, during the agreement’s period of implementation, Ukraine has achieved 90% of its goals in the following areas: justice, freedom, security, political dialogue, national security and defense, statistics, and public procurement. The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that based on the report from the European Commission, Ukraine will conduct a self-screening regarding the state the Ukrainian legislation’s compliance with European legislation. Next, the National Program for Adapting Ukrainian Legislation to EU Legislation will be developed.
