Ukraine has called on the UN and the IAEA to send a security mission to the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, called on the UN and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to send a security mission to the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP. The UN, IAEA, and the entire world community must take every possible measure to send a security mission to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, demilitarize the territory of the NPP completely, and provide security guarantees to the employees of the nuclear plant and the residents of the city of Energodar, Lubinets said. Currently, there are 1,200 tons of nuclear fuel at the NPP, with which the Russian invaders are threatening the world. In the event of a nuclear incident, the territories of Ukraine, the EU, and Russia will all be severely affected.
