Ukraine expects Germany to assist in opening negotiation clusters with the EU.

“Our country anticipates this will occur now, during the Polish presidency of the Council of the EU, and will continue during the Danish presidency,” emphasized Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, head of the parliamentary committee, at a meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
It should be noted that Kęstutis Budris, the head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, believes that for Ukraine, 2030 is the deadline for joining the EU. In his view, that year should mark the cut-off for implementing the necessary changes.
“We must establish this deadline and track the timelines for all other critical decisions that will need to be made. We believe you can achieve this by 2030,” Budris added during the launch of the Ukraine2EU project in Kyiv.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that Ukraine aims to open all six clusters in the EU accession negotiations simultaneously in 2025. According to him, bilateral screening has already been completed for three clusters. The negotiation clusters are expected to open in the coming months.
