Ukraine exceeded pre-war export figures to the EU.
According to August’s results, Ukrainian exports to EU countries almost reached pre-war levels. And according to the results of the first three quarters, they will even exceed the corresponding pre-war indicators, said Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka. According to Kachka, exports to the EU made up 90% of recorded exports in August 2021. And in three quarters of 2022, Ukraine’s EU export share rose a few percent compared to the same period in 2021. At the same time, the official added, Ukraine’s total export volume compared to the pre-war period has been reduced by almost half. So, in January-February, Ukraine exported $6B or more monthly, and as of September, this indicator was only $3.4B. Exports to North Africa and Asia decreased the most. It is now increasing due only to the grain initiative and seaports opening.
