Ukraine continues to develop its agricultural sector, with its partners planning to allocate tens of millions to support farmers.

At the processing plant of the Factory of Grocery Products in the Kyiv region, it is intended to complete and launch a production line for steamed buckwheat groats. This new line will have a capacity of 30 tons per day. Additionally, a boiler house is planned to supply steam to the new facilities. Currently, the enterprise can store up to 600 tons of raw materials. It primarily processes buckwheat and millet, with plans to add peas, wheat, and barley in the future.
Ukraine will also receive a $50M grant through the World Bank’s ARISE project for agricultural recovery. Farmers will have access to grants to support farm development.
Moreover, Ukraine and Italy signed two agreements to support farmers in the Odesa region. The first will help small and medium-sized farmers form cooperatives, acquire modern equipment, receive training, and consulting support – funded by Italy. The second agreement aims to modernize land irrigation, including a €6M project to rebuild the Tatarbunar and Kiliya irrigation systems.
