Ukraine continues to bleed out the Russian Federation’s oil depots.

On the night of May 11, Ukrainian drones attacked the Lukoil Volgograd Oil Refinery in the Russian Federation, according to Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. Lukoil-Volgogradnaftoperobka is the largest producer of petroleum products in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation, with a capacity of 14.8 million tons. In the UAV attack, two primary oil processing installations were damaged. However, the next day, on May 12, Russia’s largest refinery was attacked again.

In addition, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in the Kaluga region of Russia for the second time in the last month. Previously, Ukraine UAVs attacked the refinery on March 15, causing significant damages and starting a fire.

Moreover, on May 10, a Ukrainian strike killed three people, injured eight, and triggered a large fire at an oil storage depot in occupied Rovenky, Luhansk region, the region’s Russia-installed governor said. According to Russian officials, it was the second such assault in three days by Ukrainian forces using US-supplied ATACMS systems.
