Ukraine can attract trillions of dollars of investment, but it must compete.
Today, many foreign investors are interested in building their businesses in Ukraine. This is facilitated by Ukraine’s global popularity thanks its robust resistance in the full-scale war and trillion-dollar investment opportunities.
“But Ukraine will still have to compete for investments,” said the director of the Office Support for Reforms, Denys Shemyakin. The official added that investors are attracted by the following tools: war risk insurance, industrial parks, and grant programs for Ukrainian businesses. As for the markets, investors are interested in demining, reconstruction, and the defense industry.
“Ukraine can set conditions on the demining market, because it is estimated at 50% of the global market. As for reconstruction, we are interesting to investors from the view of great demand. The industrial complex is a condition for our existence in the future and a priority,” Shemyakin said.
