Ukraine and the US have agreed on transport cooperation.
The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, and the US Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation at the summit of the International Transport Forum in Paris, reported the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. Among the key results of the memorandum are the renewal of the entire fleet of locomotives and wagons by 2030, creating a high-speed rail system between major cities, and improved railway infrastructure. In addition, the memorandum provides for the modernization of highways, the installation of automatic weighing stations, airspace security, and safe operation of civil aviation, attracting investment from the US private sector, and promoting digital technology and environmentally friendly fuels.
