Ukraine and the EU will share the same system for classifying goods.
The Ukraine Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution that will contribute to unifying approaches to the classification of goods with those used in the EU, reported the Ministry of Finance.
The government adopted the resolution On Amendments to the Procedure for Conducting the Ukrainian Classification of Goods of Foreign Economic Activity, a project developed by the Ministry of Finance to ensure the implementation of the EU’s legal standards regarding the classification of individual goods following the EU Combined Nomenclature.
“The new law will contribute to the uniform application of the rules for classifying goods by all customs authorities when determining the category of goods in accordance with the Ukrainian Classifier of Goods and decisions on binding information on the classification of goods“, the message reads.
