Ukraine and the Czech Republic will launch six joint projects in the defense sector.
The Czech President, Petr Pavel, visited Ukraine with the President of Slovakia, Zuzana Caputova, and issued several statements.
The countries have agreed on the production of arms and ammunition, repair of tanks, such as the T-62, as well as the potential production of training aircraft, with the participation of both Ukrainian and Czech firms, Petr Pavel said at a joint press conference with the presidents of Ukraine and Slovakia in Kyiv.
After returning from Ukraine, Pavel stated at a briefing that the Czech Republic, in cooperation with other allies, will look for ways to increase the supply of ammunition to Ukraine. He noted that Ukraine has a critical shortage of ammunition, which limits the Ukrainian military’s ability to defend itself and launch a successful counteroffensive.
