Ukraine and Romania will strengthen their cooperation in the gas and light oil product markets.
Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolisnyk and State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy of Romania George Niculescu have agreed on cooperation in the development of natural gas markets and systemic support in the light petroleum product market. “It is possible to ensure the safety of the supply of energy carriers through joint efforts, particularly in the diversification of natural gas supply routes,” the Deputy Minister of Energy stressed. Kolisnyk also met with Ion Sterian, CEO of the Romanian operator of the Transgaz gas transportation system. They discussed issues of regional cooperation and the necessary steps to intensify the attraction of new natural gas supply routes and the introduction of new storage and supply methods for the needs of both the internal market and the EU.
