Ukraine and Poland will meet in Lviv on March 11 to discuss the border blockade and trade.

On Monday, Ukraine and Poland will hold the ninth meeting of the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk and Minister of Development and Technologies of Poland Krzysztof Hetman. The parties will discuss unblocking the common border and banning the import of Russian and Belarusian agricultural products to Europe.

Zvarych added that the governments will discuss current and new investment projects, infrastructure, transport, energy, border and customs cooperation, expansion of checkpoint capacity, and tourism. The most attention will be paid to agricultural topics, including farmers’ protests, which are ongoing in Poland and other EU countries.

In addition, a meeting between the Polish and Ukrainian ministers of agriculture will take place as part of the commission’s meeting.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, after a meeting with Vice President of the EC Valdis Dombrovskis, emphasized that Ukraine is ready for further steps to unblock the border, restore exports, and transit Ukrainian products.
