Ukraine aims to earn ₴1B from leasing state land this year.


The State Land Bank has included 2,479 plots of land, valued at an estimated ₴1B ($23M), in a second pool, as reported by the State Property Fund. This represents 206,382 hectares of land across 23 regions of Ukraine. The second pool of land scheduled for sale this year within the Land Bank consists of livestock lands, completed divided plots, plots undergoing “legal settlements,” and plots utilized by enterprises of other government bodies. The first auctions are set for the second half of the year.
Notably, last week saw 25 auctions for the sublease of state agricultural lands in the Sumy and Mykolaiv regions. The total proceeds from these auctions totaled ₴43.8M, and with VAT included, the anticipated economic impact could reach ₴52.6M. The average cost of subleasing a hectare is ₴15,665, with the starting price rising by an average of 350%. The most expensive lot is a plot in the Sumy region, covering 120.26 hectares. During the bidding, its price surged by 400%, and the cost per hectare stands at ₴25,002 ($600).
