UAH 3.5 bln to upgrade train infrastructure.

The draft state budget for 2022 includes an investment of UAH 3.5 bln ($130 mln) for the purchase of new passenger cars, including 70 cars for day high-speed trains, said the Ukraine Ministry of Finance. It is also planned to invest an additional UAH 2 bln ($74 mln) in passenger railway infrastructure projects including the completion of the electrification of the Zhytomyr-Novohrad-Volynskyi section with the resumption of the bypass of the Novohrad-Volynskyi-1 station.
