Turkey increases imports of pig iron from Ukraine by 9%.

According to Steel Orbis, in 2021, Turkish metallurgical enterprises increased imports of pig iron from Ukraine by 8.8% compared to 2020, to 295.5 thousand tons. The leading supplier of pig iron to Turkey is Russia. It accounted for 45% of the total supply. In second place is Ukraine – its share is 25% of the total supply of pig iron. In 2021, Ukraine increased its pig iron exports by 4% compared to 2020, to 3.24 million tons. Turkey accounted for 9.7% of total exports.
