Turkey claims that Russia is prepared for a new round of peace talks with Ukraine.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that Russia is ready for a third round of negotiations with Ukraine and is awaiting a response from Kyiv. Fidan also mentioned that there are no barriers to holding a summit involving Presidents Vladimir Putin, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Donald Trump, and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Meanwhile, Czech President Petr Pavel believes the war between Russia and Ukraine could continue for years if the current pace of fighting persists. He noted that, despite significant losses, Russian forces have managed to occupy portions of Ukrainian territory. While the Ukrainian military continues to defend effectively, if conditions remain unchanged, the conflict could become prolonged, which, according to the Czech president, is unacceptable for Ukraine and Europe.

Pavel emphasized that support for Kyiv should be coupled with the application of maximum pressure on Russia – not only militarily but also economically. He made it clear that the Kremlin must understand there will be no victory on the battlefield.

Additionally, the Czech president mentioned negotiations to end the war, stating that in his view, Putin sees only one suitable partner for these talks – Trump. He described this as a deliberate attempt by the Kremlin to exclude Europe from the peace process.
