Trump officially appoints his special envoy for Ukraine and Russia and confirms “significant progress” regarding the war.

On February 3, US President Donald Trump signed an official decree appointing Keith Kellogg as the special envoy for Ukraine and Russia. Following the official appointment, Trump announced the achievement of “significant progress” on issues related to “Ukraine and Russia.”

“We’ll see what happens. We’re going to stop this senseless war,” the US president emphasized.

It has also been reported that Kellogg will soon arrive in Ukraine to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. After visiting Kyiv, Kellogg will head to Europe for negotiations and later participate in the Munich Security Conference. President Trump and US Vice President JD Vance are also scheduled to attend.

The Office of the President of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian authorities are actively preparing for upcoming negotiations with the Trump team. Ukrainian Ambassador to Washington Oksana Markarova clarified that the Embassy of Ukraine in the US is working to organize a series of meetings between the two presidents’ teams.
